Services & Subcontractor Art Support
Pick and choose individual à la carte services or select complete end-to-end exhibition support. Michal has undertaken solo exhibitions and can provide same support for you as the artist, the gallery and event venues without the need for extra internal employees.
1. Pre-Exhibition & Curatorial Planning
Curatorial Direction: Exhibition theme development and concept advice
Layout & Logistics: Floor plan planning, artwork hanging schemes, pre-bump-in scheduling, and admin support
IT & Cybersecurity Support: Digital IT setup and cybersecurity assistance (provided via Cyberkite)
Art Marketing & Web Support: Pre-show promotional strategy and digital marketing support (provided via Cyberkite)
2. Bump-In & Installation
Artwork Transport: Safe, low-volume small artwork transit across Greater Melbourne
Bump-In Setup: On-site preparation and venue setup assistance
Artwork Installation: Professional hanging and placement of visual works (wall, floor, and plinth artworks), including complex conceptual art installations
Lighting & Spotlight Positioning: Adjusting and focusing existing gallery spotlights to highlight work, plus hands-on assistance setting up and positioning additional lighting
3. Opening Night & Event Support
Public Speaking: Opening introduction speeches and hosting / MC services
Event Media: Low-cost opening night photography and videography by Michal Plis with a Canon DLSR camera
Live Streaming: Real-time event broadcasting in portrait orientation to your choice of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn. Requires access to your platform account and meeting platform follower thresholds. Single-platform streaming is recommended for optimal stability over multistreaming.
Catering & Drinks Support: Hands-on assistance with opening night bar service, tray passing, drink refilling, catering table maintenance, and general floor replenishment
4. Mid-Exhibition & Ongoing Support
Gallery Sitting: Dependable, security-minded sitting while open to the public, including active handling of artwork sales and transactions
Floor Hosting: Interactive visitor welcoming, artwork context sharing, story-telling, and detailed sales inquiry capture
Space Maintenance & Light Renovations: Light cleaning services, gallery floor upkeep, back-of-house support (stockroom, inventory, admin), and assistance with light studio/gallery renovations (wall patching, painting, minor repairs, and space prep).
Education & Studio Contracting: Freelance contractor services available for independent artists, art schools, private studios, and creative venues needing technical or administrative assistance
5. Bump-Out & Teardown
Pack-Down: Safe unhanging, protective wrapping of artworks, and complete exhibition teardown
Venue Reset & Cleanup: Comprehensive post-exhibition cleanup, leaving the gallery space pristine, clear, and ready for hand-back
Studio Return Transport: Safe transport of small artworks back to your studio or storage space
Collector Delivery: Direct, safe local delivery of sold small artworks straight to buyers and collectors

For curation, artwork hanging, setup, lighting adjustments, event hosting, gallery sitting, bump-out, physical logistics, and space maintenance. Michal Plis is a emerging, professional visual artist and wants to offer affordable low rates for labouring support for art community in greater Melbourne.Hourly Rate: $38 / hr (Minimum 2-hour callout, incl. GST)Half-Day Pass (Up to 4 Hours): $140 (incl. GST)Full-Day Pass (7.5 Hours): $250 (incl. GST)2. Digital Marketing & IT Support - Professional Rate

For website setup, digital marketing support, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and online strategy. Michal is qualified experienced IT professional for over 20 years and charges a reasonable rate based on experience.Walk-In IT Rate (Once-Off / Casual): $57 per 30 mins (incl. GST)
* Day cap: $495 (up to 7.5 hrs, Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm, incl. GST)Service Agreement IT Rate (12-Month Commitment): $22 per 15 mins(incl. GST)
* Day cap: $429 (up to 7.5 hrs, Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm, incl GST)Onsite Travel Surcharge: Travel over 30 minutes each way from the Mount Waverley office is calculated at the applicable session rate (in 15 or 30-minute increments).Booking & Invoicing Terms
You can book as far advance as needed via my booking calendar to give you peace of mind.Tax Invoices: All bookings receive itemized, ATO-compliant Tax Michal Plis Invoices displaying full GST breakdowns.Payment Terms: Standard 7-day payment terms (extensions available upon request).Single Invoicing: If a project requires both physical art support and Cyberkite IT/marketing, services are simply itemized together at their respective standard rates on one clear invoice.Cancellation Policy:More than 24 Hours Notice: Free cancellation or rescheduling. No fee applied.Less than 24 Hours Notice: Cancellations or reschedules made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time incur a flat $76 fee (equivalent to the 2-hour minimum callout) to cover held time.No-Show / Cancelled Upon Arrival: Full minimum callout ($76) or 50% of the booked pass rate (whichever is greater) will be invoiced.
